I’m not sure if this noise has always been occurring or if I only started noticing it with the windows down/top off in the summer, but I frequently hear a noise that sounds like hydraulic/pneumatic pressure increasing for a few seconds when driving—most noticeable when slowing to or starting from a stop.
I can’t quite directly correlate it to turning the wheel or applying brakes, but it just sounds like some sort of pressure is kicking on.
I get it with or without AC on, and I don’t hear an associated “compressor” noise, per se—it just sounds like the sort of noise I might associate with pressure increasing in a Pneumatic or hydraulic system.
For instance, when I start up the truck and shift to reverse, I’ll often hear it either before or just as I am letting off the break and/or cutting the wheel.
I have not observed any issues while driving, I’m just not sure if the noise is new or normal…thoughts?
