Seems like a lot but factor in the dock and it isn't tooooo bad. I bet getting it from Mopar would be like $600 plus installation.

It doesn't.
It does. I have tested this along with many others on the fb forums.

Mine does.
I just tested mine. I can barely hear anything from it when I drop the seat and stick my ear within a foot of it. It is very faint and thin. It is nothing like the full audio from my phone. It sounds like what we called “leakage” back in my broadcast days. There is no volume setting for it in the audio settings screen. The audio from it did not change when the left, right, front, rear balances were altered.

Maybe there are some different radio, speaker software versions in play, but my Bluetooth doesn’t add anything to the cabin audio.

That is very strange. Not sure how it could. Are you playing off your phone wired to the stereo via USB?

No. Again, what I heard out of mine was some kind of leakage audio. I had an FM HD station playing in the truck when I did the test. If you lay a speaker wire alongside a 12v power wire, you will be able to see a small amount of audio being coupled into that 12v power wire. I suspect what I heard was some leakage/crosstalk most likely involving wires in a bundle.

I never got the speaker to power on int the dock. I pulled it out of the dock and powered it up. Itt connected to my phone inside the house and resumed my playlist at full audio.

That makes sense. Got this confused with the person that said it played normally when docked.

How did you go about pairing it to your phone?
I have not seen that unit in person, but most Bluetooth speaker setups have two functions...

1. The speaker itself needs to go into 'pairing mode' - on most speakers that entails pressing and holding a Bluetooth button (usually has the logo on it). Sometimes that button has a light that will flash for confirmation mode.

2. On the phone, go to Bluetooth devices. (Typically General ---> Bluetooth). Choose the name of the speaker from that list.

To expand on this, some of these speakers are not pairing. If that's the case @Slygray1 , get the dealer to replace it.

The speaker is made to be used outside the jeep, music for when you use the 400 watt power supply to run your drink blender on the camp site. A lot of money for both items who can be worked around for under a 100$, just my opinion but kids call me cheap i am frugal.

One nifty feature is that, should you have more than one in a location, at least a couple can pair together for “surround sound”...so use that inverter to run a portable projector and watch some movies while camping.

Yeah...so they say. Ultimate Ears speakers can have up to 150 linked together from a single source...so this is nothing new, and you could get 4-6 decent UE speakers for the same price, but they wouldn’t have the cool “smart charging dock”

oh you're not talking about the Jeep Bluetooth speaker then, just the UE brand speakers...
