Pretty nice 2019 Rebel at Dennis Dillon for 45k. Id be hard pressed to pick a JT Sport or Sport S with auto and hardtop for the same 45k. It's really going to come down to how far under MSRP dealers are willing to go. It did not take long for 2019 Ram prices to be heavily discounted off MSRP.

https://www.dennisdillon.com/inventory/new-2019-ram-1500-rebel-4wd-crew-cab-pickup-1c6srflt7kn576866
Thank you Texas. Agree 100. I was in the market for a truck a few years back. This was my choice, the 1500. I enjoyed reading about it in your link to it even now. That's a perfect truck imo! I did not buy cause I simply ain't paying the asking price, then or now. So for a real pickup without the lifestyle I won't go over 40, surely I will pay less for the party pack. World gone crazy.

PS I went used and for under 5K got what I wanted and needed. LOL.

My take on this is certain vehicles are priced for certain people. The gladiator will come in high and I don’t doubt the 40k base price with the Rubicon coming in at close to 45k. This truck isn’t made to be purchased my somebody making 35-40k a year...seems pretty obvious I know, but sometimes ppl just need to hear it from another voice. For the price I’d rather have a supercab raptor, but until we know the real price we have to wait.

Just more speculation. I don’t care that it comes from a different voice or not.

I’ll be waiting on a official release before I believe that the JT is over priced.

Does 45k seem high for a JLUR?

For my part, it's about right price.

Those folks at 40K-50K ish salary make up half the working population.

Half.

And this is made for the upper half then?

The perky Upper quartile only perhap?

But wait, automakers are too big to fail.

So the lower half or three quarters pays to bail them out, or loses their job when the economy falters, because the 'better half' are too stupid to keep it together?

Stupid pricing models contribute to market collapses (real estate, wall street).

So this pricing debate, imo, is upper crust wanting their cake and eating it too, at the expesne of everyone else.

And before anyone defends it, I'm sick and tired of blaming those not able to make the change. The uppers have royally fucked up our society and they owe a duty, they are the ones who should fix it. You break, you fix. Period.

I'm just saying as loud as I can please please price this thing sensibly.

Let's do this one right.

Right vehicle, we all agree.

Right price? Remains to be seen.

If it's priced only for the upper half, include me, then it sucks.

My thoughts, opinons. No offense meant.

Not sure what you mean. A base JLUR MSRP is $41,545.

A base JT is the Sport. The Base JLU is a Sport. MSRP $31,545

A BASE JLUR (RUBICON) MSRP IS $41,545

So why would a base JT Sport coast $8,455 more than a base JLU Sport but the base JTR coast only $3,455 more than a base JLUR?

Oh and one other thing to think about Lou2.0 have you looked at some of my other posts? As I have said before if Jeep overprices this truck then I will take my business and my money elsewhere. Why would anyone working for Jeep make such a statement over and over again? Simple answer is because I am an individual buyer just like you and everyone else looking to buy a Gladiator at a reasonable price, not at an outrageously expensive price. No one working for Jeep would make such statements and stay on a Jeep payroll for very long, great way to get fired.
Hi Jake, you were good to go at the previous post . . . don't "think" to much detail into MY thought process ! this "one other thing" comment tells me your a little perturbed (?) - don't know why ! May I suggest that IF you are, that you take a few calm deep breaths and exhale slowly each time ! Works for me; if & when I can remember, ;), but of course if I AM upset I often DO forget to remember - :CWL: . . . :like: . It's ALL good Jake, we're ALL in the same JEEP (Wanna JT) Club .

Thanks for the LIKE ^^^ . If only that were true . . . ! My Navy retirement WITH 70% disability (portion not taxed) AND Social Security combine to well under 50K ! I'm "alone" now, so I actually am "comfortable" with my penny-pinching ways, but, if I still had a wife, kids at home, 2 cats, a dog, and fish tank . . . well, you get the picture ! Two cars ? Never been their ! House ? Never been their ! The new "barely-get-by" income growing slowly these days, is that $15/hr. we hear so little about ! The "middle Class" (what's left of them) are drowning in their own tears ! The top 10% keep tilting the field so they get even more ! WHY ? (rhetorical question, not to be replied to). Some fret over Jeep Prices, I fret for my fellow lower-middle-class compadres !

Yeah but I want to reply to the rhetorical question!

Ok I'm just going to address rhetoric.

All the JLURs I’ve seen on dealer lots have been around 45k. Just an average I’ve ran across in my area.

Hey Lou2.0 thanks for your reply. You should be pleased to know that I am not at all perturbed, was just pointing out to you that I really don’t work for Jeep. It’s all good pal. Trust me. We are just two enthusiasts hoping to get a really cool looking truck provided that it comes in at a right price and is not overpriced. I am fully ready to walk away from this thing if Jeep wants to charge an arm and a leg for it, already got a couple of back up vehicles in mind. For now I sit back, cross fingers and see how they price it before I do anything. The forum is fun and makes for informative research, everyone helping everyone with their research results and their comments and observations.

I do not doubt that. All the JL's on my dealers lot right now are 4 door that doesn't mean I can't order a 2 door from them. Just like I could order a base JLUR at the MSRP stated above. (not that I would pay MSRP)

Hey 5, high 5 on that ! YOU should initiate a new Thread - 'Rhetorical Rhetoric Run Rampant' - the suggested title ! :CWL:  !
I probably should not of described my thoughts as rhetorical, but one of my Brain Farts took hold of my senses, and there you go ! It turned out to be gut wrenching honest feelings - shame on me ! Got too close to "Politics" - a personal "No-No" for me on ANY Forums, even on that Post Area ! Think I mentioned that somewhere here or over at the JL Site ! ?
Do you really want answers to your questions ? I suppose wether you lean left or lean right or simply stand upright . . . has very little to do with other aspects of Real-Peoples Lives and how they live them ! The UnReal High-Rollers, well, they live in their own Ivory-Tower reality, apart from the rest . Boy I can tell ya, I feel trapped in my own doings - beholden, so to speak, to the "Government," since I worked for "them," and now RELY on Pension & Social payments each month ! Are you a "young guy"? Someday - IF Your generation survives this Great Divide we now live in - then you may be able to appreciate my baby-boomer generation ! ? I don't know wether to Love Me or Hate My generation - we were the ones got the Ball Rolling on this Industrial Revolution which has impacted our Home (Earth) ! Damn you JEEP, it's all your fault ! Just give us the price already !; ;) .
