I purchased and installed the Lasfit hood lock which doesn't interfere with your front trail cam, and you can't see the lock from the front at all. It locks and unlocks with the key fob using pneumatics. It works well and gives a piece of mind. I also have enabled the hood alarm via my taser. I'd recommend that you get the trim tool kit, just makes removing the grill & trim pieces easier.

Grill comes off in about 2 minutes with a small screwdriver or pocket knife to lift the top 6 retainers.
I used my pocket knife to pop the centers up, then pulled the retainers out, and even with winch in the way, popped the grill off to run the plow wiring............... not a scratch on grill or the retainers on top.

For any interior trim - those are easily damaged unless you use the plastic trim tools (save for the piece under the steering column - you can pop that off with hands, no tools at all)

I like the idea of the Lasfit - but why pneumatics and not a system like a door lock motor? They work quickly and both directions and no pump needed. You can get them with some long strokes, or use a lever to increase the stroke distance.
I can't figure why they complicated it with an air system instead of a motor, maybe even a stepper motor.

I’d rather take the grill off with the proper tools than risk damaging it with a screwdriver or a knife. The whole kit was less than 10 bucks so it’s worth it. Im not sure why they chose air vs motor maybe to keep it small & flat so it can fit behind the grill with no issues & under the steering for the control module it also contains electronics to communicate with the vehicle to work with your fob so possibly form factor was an issue. The install took about two hours it would be less time if you were experienced, looks more complicated than it is. Seems to work without flaw, doesn’t effect the look of the Jeep or affect the front camera, no modification of the grill, I think it’s great.
