So I’ve honestly been holding off on removing my rugged ridge snorkel due to its cost and seeing about redneck fixing it instead.
This here really defeats the purpose of the snorkel. The space on the side that exists is enough to pull water into the engine if submerged.
And I have submerged this machine and count my blessings that it hasn’t damaged anything.
Too many areas for it to fail on me. Gasket rubber seals already cracking. Completely in the way of the battery terminal area.
My question is what snorkel should I do instead, OR what should I purchase and modify for safer water trekking without decreasing air intake consumption.
