Project M is a truck cap camper, similar to our OVRLNDs. Basically uses FWC's pop-top from their slide-ins.Slide in? Not recommended for the Gladiator according to manufacturer specs. At least from what I've heard.
There are better options. Four Wheel Campers quality has suffered over the years and the Project M was a very half baked solution to begin competing in the market. The fit and finish is not on par for the price and you are better off at looking at AluCab or AT Overland in my opinion.Hey all,
Anyone out there have a Project M for their JT?
Any thoughts, advice? Getting ready to pull the trigger.

OP, I'd cross shop OVRLND and Topo as well if you haven't already, they are also vertical pop-ups and have more customization options (esp OVRLND) if you care about that. I certainly like my vertical, makes the space in the bed very livable in bad weather.
I think they're all aluminum composite based, so probably all similar weight. I had to add airbags and eventually replaced my springs to eliminate all the sag my JTR had, and that's for a 350 lb camper. Performance-wise I barely notice it, and have taken it on lots of pretty rough trails and long trips. Probably the biggest negative is you really need to watch your upper corners and roofline when tilting near trees/rocks or going under windfall/garage doors.

I just went to the Reno Outdoor Expo and the prices on the RV's, camper trailers, and truck campers were eye watering! The prices on all of these things are absolutely eye-watering. I'm going to think about making my own at some point.
Jay and Maggie are an absolute joy to work with. If you have a vision pretty sure they can make it happen. Don't let there website contain your imagination. For instance asymmetrical full barn doors. Purpose built. Thanks for the insight...I will take another look at Toppo and Overlnd much appreciated!!
Thanks for the reply. I will definitely be checking out Ovrlnd and Toppo!!Project M is a truck cap camper, similar to our OVRLNDs. Basically uses FWC's pop-top from their slide-ins.
