Hey all,

Prospective first time jeep buyer here!

Found 2 Gladiator Mojaves at a local dealer that looks like they've been sitting there a few months.

Haven't had the chance to test drive yet, but they have pretty much everything I want minus the spray in bed liner, they are both the exact same except one is black and one is Sarge green.

I know people can only speculate, but trying to decide if I should wait to see of the MY22 is announced in the next month or so, curious to see if the Gladiator 4xE is coming out later this year or what potential extras/upgrades may be available.

They're both MSRP of: $60,920
and have an "internet" markdown of -$3,421

making them $57,499.. I'm assuming that's probably close to invoice?

No clue on their potential fees or extras they may attempt to add (Spartanburg, SC)

Signed up for the tread lightly a bit ago, so waiting for that to come in too, but any assuming these guys are willing to negotiate more and don't have crazy fees, anyone have any recommendations of what I can attempt to negotiate it down to? $54ish?

Not sure I have the time to do ~11-12 hours of driving to get to TN for the guaranteed 8% under invoice but, 3-5 would be cool.

So I was in a similar situation. Dealership had a Mojave optioned the way I wanted. Treadlightly was going to take 30 days. The window sticker had an MSRP of $59XXX and OTD was just shy of $62000. I didn't go into the dealer and communicated via e-mail. They weren't budging.

Oddly, my job, and you might want to check yours, has an obscure benefit for a "car buying" deal. Basically, they negotiated a price with dealers in the area which come out to under invoice. I walked out the door just a tick over $54k. I was really impressed because once this site generated a "certificate", all I had to do was roll in there.

The salesperson wasn't aware of such thing, took it to his boss and he shrugged, took it to the GM and he had a look of defeat that was basically, "Yeah...give it to him at that price". I felt good because this is South Florida where people drop stupid money on stupid things. Got $30k for my ZR2 and the dealership even beat my credit union rate by half a percent so all things considered, I'm feeling groovy.

Gave my work benefit/car buying service a quick look, looks like it's through truecar, a whole 1.5-2% below MSRP as the quoted deal for the local dealership, unfortunately.

Below MSRP?! Bummer. Mine was through True Car as well but significantly more off. Well crap...the only other option would be to play hardball. It's the end of the month...Look, like it, talk it up...talk numbers...when they come back with whatever...say you'll walk and pay X amount.

I've done that a few cars where I just went in and said, "If you want to sell a car, I'll buy one at this price" (within reason)...and it worked.
