I was wondering if that noise is normal? When I quickly just tap the gas pedal and let it go, it makes a Puff sound and then revs. This happens in neutral, manual transmission. I'm thinking it could be a vacuum leak but wouldnt that set off a CEL?

My puff sound only sets off the wifey.

Haven't noticed the sound, but I'll try to replicate it tomorrow on my way into work. No doors or top so it's kinda tough to hear over the road noise.

Not when driving, in neutral. If you just tap it once, and let it go.

Hmm, haven't noticed anything like that. Sorry. I'll keep an ear out though.

I was getting whooshing air noise that kept coming and going for no apparent reason.

Someone in a Gladiator Facebook group Mentioned something about bad quality gas, I shrugged it aside but then started noticing it really was happening when I used 87 octane fuel from a lower tier gas station. (Not nation wide brand)

Started using 89 octane from better known gas stations and I’ve never gotten that noise again

Check your passenger drain plug. It sounds like when my wife accidentally knocks it out

Intake noise. If you have an aftermarket intake, it is even more pronounced.

That exactly describes intake noise. Think of it like the crack when you open a carbonated beverage of your choosing.
