ive got a thread and a couple posts on it. Short version, yes, it makes a bug difference on the highway with the 91/performance tune set. I picked up about 3.5mpg on interstate driving. It doesnt need to downshift nearly as much. Id say unless you live somewhere really hilly, you could probably get by on stock tires without regearing. If you go up, regearing is just part of the deal.

my gears are on order, but i got 21.1 with the pulsar and mopar intake on 37’s today.

@KrutP My biggest question with the Pulsar has been the firmware updates. Is the device capable of getting updates via the web? I keep hearing of people having to send their units back to get a newer model. Doesn't make sense to me.

Seems to me the PULSAR is an overly complicated to install version of the Tazer and/or Pedal Commander. Or is it more?

superchips had big QC issues with the first batch that troubled many users. The returns were to correct hardware issues. They claimed the new motherboard corrected the problem, and ran a sale, so i took a chance.

ive been happy with the results And the product, and my couple weeks of driving with it has been entiret positive. It is updatable over the web with a obd cable they sell, but i dont think there has been any revisions since i got mine.

ive been happy with the performance.

no. It does some of the functions of tazer like ESS memory, tire size, gear ratio, and tpms settings. It adjusts/corrects pedal feedback like pedal commander but isnt as adjustable. But it also adds 30hp on 91 or higher octane. It adds power on 87 octane as well, but i dont know what the claim is.

it makes a good power increase, and i didnt consider it difficult to install at all. I felt it was the right mix of what i needed. I wanted pedal lag eliminated but dont need 32 or whatever different settings. I wanted ess to stay off when i turn it off, adjust tpms/axle/tire but i dont need to fiddle with a couple dozen parameters inside the ecu and leave something in the obd port. And i was specifically looking for more power, so it made this the right choice for me.

Im no longer recommending people buy this thing. Ive started seeing mine forget ESS memory once in a while, and it will randomly change programs periodically. Yes, it works, but the QC issues are still there. Ive tried calling superchips/diablosport 5 separate times on 4 different days over the last 2 weeks and have never been able to get a hold of anyone to address the problem, with the longest time on hold being 45 minutes.

go with the livernois tune and a tazer And avoid the QC headaches. this thing still isnt ready for prime time.

Latest update: superchips has been in touch, and agreed to extend my return/refund window and asked if i would try a replacement Unit first. I have agreed to the offer.

Any update?

Also... Can you use the pulsar WITH the tazer? Or does it replace that?
