Punk'n Metallic is a unique color because it contains glass flakes, rather than metal flakes or "pearl" balls that Jeep is more familiar with. It seems manufacturers often have a challenging time with unique colors. There's a 2019 Mustang Bullitt near where I work. The green on it is gorgeous, but in direct sunlight, you can see that the paint doesn't lay the same on the plastic bumper as it does on the metal hood. It's perfectly obvious to a casual observer.

I wonder if something similar is going on here. Doesn't excuse it, but the unique nature of the paint might help explain it.

It's definitely a different paint process on the plastic, almost looks like vinyl, in person it's not that noticeable at least not enough for me to be super bothered by it.

I'm wanting to. I'm torn between Sting grey or Punk'n. Both with tan leather.

Found out mine is at the rail yard in MN. So now I just need it to get loaded on a truck for the short trip to my dealer. (Also in MN)
If no one posts photos of the leather before then I will be sure to do it.

1 week and 600 miles with my punk'n jt ,city driving, highway driving, long and short drives,front roof panels on and off, even hauled 6 sheets of drywall and all I can say is I love it,and so far it's exceeded most of my expectations.

Any Punk’n heads know what RAL powder coat color matches our orange the closest? Need to get my beadlock rings coated but I don’t have the Gladiator to compare the color chips to yet!

I assume someone has looked into coating parts to match Punk’n. But your point is valid... trusting someone else’s opinion on a color match could be a bad idea!

Mine is still in d1 status and I ordered on the first day they made the matching top available. And now uaw voted to authorize a strike... if they do strike I hope my gladiator is shipped first
