Weathertech mud flaps will solve that.
So will this setup - and it would help her get in and out. Right now it's high for either of us getting in/out.

Rubicon without running boards is a tall step… I had to use a 3 step ladder so my mom could get in!

I figure the splash guards and running board should take care of two "issues".
My mom was only about 5' - can't imagine her getting into one of these!

Bill we al know what you are doing, sure it is all about your wonderful wife....cut it out, you are getting an awesome Rubicon in the garage and your master plan it to "have" to drive it in bad weather because it is so much more capable! I failed in getting a reign Wrangler for my wife, but then again there is a Mojave in the garage next to her Wrangler already. I look forward to your reviews of the version with electric, and damn it Bill, what is this now like three jeeps in three years, I love your plan!......Jack

Trust me - that thing won't see a lot of bad weather. In fact, it was suggested that I put the plow back on my truck as we got 2" or so of snow and we had to be at church tonight as we are directly involved tonight. So here I am with a truck and plow that can move a foot of snow with little effort.... yeah, looked silly, I bet.
Extremely capable Jeeps that can fight their way out of almost anything, and I'm cleaning the driveway.
On the other hand, we've had UPS, Fedex and Amazon vehicles get down to the end of our driveway and tons of trouble getting back out because it's a hill and gets slick.

Anyway, my JT is equipped for whatever hits us - winch, straps, snatch block, etc. and the tires are excellent in this weather. (although with the plow on that lets out using the winch. )

Congrats to Mrs. @ShadowsPapa (or should that just be ShadowsMama?), that's a fine looking Jeep she has.

When my wife's Wrangler was new, she decked it out with pink camo seat covers and steering wheel cover, pink trim accents, pink stuffed animals all over, and pink stickers that say things like "Jeep Girl" and such so I wouldn't want to drive it.

She already got "ducked" before she left the dealership with it- the accessories lady put a ping duck in her Jeep because it went well with purple.

Absolutely agree.
Good looking pair there.
That's a good "Jeeps parking next to Jeeps" picture for that thread.

My wife isn't real happy - she pointed out 'it got DIRTY!"

Any thoughts yet on its performance?

Yeah, great performance. It's definitely torguey with good get-up-and-go.
You just go. It's one reason I like it although I've driven it once for a short distance LOL
But when she merges into traffic or goes to pass someone, it's there. . quicker response than the 3.6.
It's so weird when she pulls it out of the garage - you hear the hum of the motors but no engine sound. And when she backed it into the garage that first day I kept thinking -the engine died, start it again. Oh, wait.
You can't tell when it transitions between modes. It's seamless.

Ha, yeah I realized after I posted that that she probably hasn’t given you much opportunity to drive it. Next time it’s cleaned up and out in the sun snap some pictures , would you?
My neighbor bought one and he let me taker her around town. It was a weird experience. Felt like I was driving a large golf cart with the lack of noise. I never put my foot in it since it was brand new and he’s not really a car guy so I didnā€˜t think he’d appreciate It.

Exactly my experience with the Wrangler 4xE. I have no interest in a hybrid of any sort, but if I wanted one it would be a Wrangler 4xE. I have been impressed by how seamless the transition is from ICE to hybrid is, and having the eight speed transmission makes it drive more like a conventional ICE than the typical hybrid that uses the engine to power a generator.

If you want it even quieter you can pull the fuse on the ufo speakers. The main sound you hear when she's moving electric are actually a speaker in the spare tire and one in the front that play that woo woo sound.
