Putting a JL Hard Top in Gladiator Bed

Has anyone ever put a 4 door JL Hard top in their Gladiator Bed. I am supposed to pick one up for my Wife's Jeep. My son has a Ram and I can swap trucks to get the top, but if I can haul it in the back of my Gladiator, I would rather do that.

After measuring the hard top I would have to put the top in sideways so there would be about a 4 inch over hang over the side rail of the bed. That I'm not concerned about. What I am concerned about is the rear glass. Should I Keep it closed and wrap a blanket around it OR keep it open and pad my side rail?

Any thoughts you may have, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Just don't put any pressure on the forward mounting points. They are rather delicate and will snap.

I would swap trucks ,you know if you scratch it you wont hear the end of it.

I’d do as above and borrow the truck where you can place the top in the bed. Less chance to damage the top of your truck. Right tool for the job.

It's an extra top. A family member had their hard top damaged in a storm and the insurance company is replacing it and allowing them to keep the old one. So, I was going to pick it up for them. It's still a usable top.

This. Just take your current top off, put this one on.

Truck route - bring lots of bubble wrap, strap it down and hope for the best.

And? Simplest solution is to roll top less and return with the top mounted to best possible transport vehicle you can get....
