For our 48” Raymarine open array we use a Scanstrut that also has mounting points for spotlight and GPS modules.

It's nice not having to own a $600 detector anymore. Speeding in the Gladiator isn't something I do. LOL

I was pretty sure that’s what he meant, but couldn’t resist. On a semi serious note, mine is firecracker red, there ain’t no radar detector in the world that can compensate for that. I’m pretty much screwed standing still.

Without hijacking the thread, what has been your experience with the signal reliability between the radar and the MFD? I’ve considered upgrading to wireless but have heard stories of the radar going dark because of wireless interruptions.

Have you had any issues with Waze? I have the 7” display with CarPlay & current iOS and waze will freeze up from time to time requiring me to remove it from the phone and reinstall it. I haven’t had this happen with either of our cars.

Escort, built my own mount above the mirror.

Used the Bulletpoint phone mount, bulletpoint ball, and some other companies shorty 20mm ball to ball arm.

I'm tempted to just make something out of Kydex to do the same thing but much lower on the dash.

Figuring out how/if I want, to hardwire it, is the next potential project.
