I have a question. The rail cap on my Jeep Gladiator broke and is loose. Is there any way I can tighten it with a clip? Do I need a clip or retainer, or should I buy a whole new rail cap? I’ve read reviews where some people said you need to buy the entire piece, while others mentioned that you can purchase just the retainer. Does anyone know how to secure it to the bed so that it doesn’t flap around?

I have never had this issue and so maybe speak from a position of ignorance, but I have used industrial double stick tape from some place like McMaster-Carr or Grainger before to reattach trim pieces. This may or may not suit that top cap though but could be a solution until you do something more permanent. If you get the heavier duty tape it does have some pretty crazy strength though so maybe will work for you.

I want to replace mine. Did you find a decent source?
TheOpa has good advice. 3M double sided tape should work just fine, it's what holds the door moldings to most cars.

If you’re talking about the bed rail caps they are cheap from the dealer, I get parts at wholesale but I don’t think they were more than 60-70 list. Just bought a new one for the tailgate and it was $23.

Yea. I recently bought both sides for $40ea on ebay. Got them within a couple days. Had to replace mine from years of abuse.
