If you haven't already, you should start a thread on the JL forum. There are more users on there.

<Snip>
I haven't seen much chatter about this on the JL side of the forum, but @Rhinebeck01 an active JL-knowledgeable poster over there was a beta tester, he has made some post about this replacement fob but it hasn't caught on over there like I assumed it would have.

How does one get this? This doesn't look like it's an option on the site?
@Pepe is right. We will be expanding the offering in the "near" future to include the ability to personalize the fobs beyond the standard options (icon colors, image upload, etc). The digital file management, file prep, and color reproduction are very complicated so we are cautious not to over-commit.

My original plan was to launch with the black options first (crawling) but after so many expressed interest in the colors I decided to expand the launch (baby running). I am certain my team has used my name has been used in vain by my team :CWL: .

We have also been working on a more "Jeep-like" model. This will be available soon (ETA April) as a model S (Slim). The design is more akin to the factory fob without the key stab feature and it will reuse the factory button pad. We are tweaking the shape and size and the final will be more refined.

Next up water-resistant.

Jeep's artificial injection of ruggedness on the stock FOB always pissed me off. As a hobbyist 3d printer I really appreciate the time and effort to correct this grievous mistake. My order number was 1001. Did I get the first official order or what?

You are number 1 ?. You got in before it was officially live while the team was testing ?.

If you ever make it this far West, you are welcome to stop by >> open invitation. Just give me a shout first.

So I have to keep the key separate? Any chance it's getting one with the key inside?
After removing the spring the key hasn't sprung out at all and have no problems with the current fob.

For now, yes - separate key. I have some concepts for built-in key storage which allows the key to be functional but it will be May before I have something to share. I don't like the simple storage cubby for the key so we'll do something different.

Ordered a white/black tread 4 button m model. Super excited... and about the pricing, honestly I think I would've paid 100 bucks for this. The stock fob is massive and there's no need for it on a modern vehicle with push-to-start. I have yet to use my actual key blade in a year of ownership. Thank you to @crdouglass3 and his team and testers for making this thing a reality!

Mine was 1015, I thought somehow you guys already had 1014 orders before mine went in Friday evening... I was like whoa, am I in the wrong business?

I tried to order a model M 3 button black smooth with micro keyholder. Nothing happens when I hit the "pre-order" button. I'm assume you are still getting things set up, but wanted to bring it to your attention just in case.

It looked like that happened with me, but the order did indeed appear in the cart.

Did you ever get your order placed? When you had the trouble were you using your smartphone or computer to access the DI Labs, fob store?
I did not. I tried again this morning on a computer with Chrome and couldn't even get to the "m" section to make choices or place an order.

Yesterday, I did check the cart per @Kevin_D 's suggestion and the only item showing was the micro key holder that I added on.

After 5 months and 37 pages, I've really sort of lost interest and will likely just remove the key from the existing fob to prevent further stabbings.

I had an issue with Firefox not letting me add anything to the cart once I used Chrome everything worked and was able to get the order thru.
