Rear door sill guard / dog

I am curious if anyone uses rear door sill protectors to keep their dog from scratching them when jumping in and out of back seat of the Gladiator? I see a bunch on Amazon but not sure they would do the trick. Thanks in advance.

I find using an old blanket draped over the door sill, is the only way to prevent scratches. I have rough country and they do a good job for people but noy so much for dogs.
