Well I got in my rear driveshaft and put it in… here’s some tips.

don’t do it alone, have a t-50 star bit, if you added extra skid plates… be prepared to remove them or have the tools to get around them. Do not uses air tools unless you really have to. Have a torch available… or a friend with one just in case you need to heatup the broken bolts.

last tip… pay a professional…if you have issues it takes way longer.

Edit: I now realize I need to raise the pinion angle to 0-1 degrees, meaning I need to replace my rear control arms with adjustable CA’s. So it’s not happening this weekend. More parts, more huge projects. Damn Jeeps. :)
Do you have to replace the upper or lower control (or both) arms to adjust the pinion angle?

I opted to replace both. I was happy with my wheel base and wheel centering in the wheel well. I ended up shortening the lowers 1/4” and lengthening the uppers the exact same amount. It turned out perfectly.

Thanks. I had my driveshaft replaced a couple of weeks ago and had some vibrations. I took it back and the shop guy said I needed adjustable control arms do they could adjust the pinion angle. I already had adjustable lowers, so I figure he meant upper. We will see this week when I pick it up.
