I got the camper on my Diesel JT which sat perfect with Claytons 3.5" diesel springs and Synergy std 3.5" rear springs. With the camper on including 2ea 200W Redarc Solar Panels and a few things on the door its setting 1" low. So by the time I add 200-300lbs more I would expect a additional 1-1.5" drop.

Someone similarly setup running Clayton 3.5" HD rears?

If so how's it sitting?

Other options., I prefer Claytons if they will work, if not then ...

Thanks.

I have the Clayton 3.5” HD rears and I’m extremely happy. ACCC, usually 2 adults, 2 large dogs, all their stuff, water food supplies, 100 lbs of telescope gear, 15 gallons of fuel… I’ve bottomed out maybe once or twice at speed and it flexes well when crawling. Big fan.

The 3.5” fronts sit about 5” higher than stock. It’s pretty close to level when occupied; close enough that it’s hard to measure any tilt. But when loaded in back but no occupants, it looks a hair nose up to me. 2.5” fronts might have a slightly more aesthetic rake for some, when you’re outside looking at it. However I’m very happy with the uptravel vs droop ratios on my diesel and also never bottom out the front. So I plan to leave it. Just make your decisions based on when you’re loaded and driving, not parked and empty.

Great thanks, I wish Clayton made a 4.5" version of that spring, would be perfect.
Have you weighed the JT setup for a trip yet?
I'm reading your build post..great info and one of the best filmed detailed one I've seen.

I have weighed it quite a few times. Staying under GVWR takes careful attention ?

About 45/55 front/rear as loaded for big trips. The weight on the front is mostly fixed and always the same - all the variable weight goes on or behind the rear axle. I've been trying to move whatever I can to the back seat floor (working on a seat delete and dog platform, which will help a lot)

Update I installed the Clayton 3.5" HD rear springs. So far ride very nice and handle the weight great. I don;t thing even after adding another 200lbs will make a big difference as it just dropped 3/8" with my 200lbs on the bumper.
Monday its going under the knife for ADS 3 tube Bypass shocks and Bump shocks and a custom rear sway bar. That should help with the float feeling and handling that I'm getting now with the Rubicon Fox 2.0's.

The stock rubicon shocks are barely adequate when bone stock. Add any cargo at all and they’re lacking. Add a camper and it’s borderline hazardous to drive. Suspension upgrade simply isn’t optional with these campers

IMO the rear sway bar is the main issue..but fixing everything starting Monday..not my first build.

Thanks, I've been building Jeeps and everything else for many years..my Shock builder is one of the best in the offroad world and he's get it setup as good as the platform allows.

Here was my last Jeep..full tilt build LS etc..fast and smooth offroad and fantastic on the street.
