Rear window - Bed - Tailgate

I think the rear window, bed and tailgate are some of the most interesting things to think about with the JT. Mostly because they are all unique to the JT compared to the JL.

Rear windows - Would love a full slider. Would add to the open feel with the top and doors off.

Bed- Composite bed with a tie down system. Maybe the Ram box as well.

Tailgate - Would be cool to have it open both horizontal and vertical. Also hope it has JEEP stamped into the metal across the tailgate.

Not to mention how difficult it would be to have a roll down window mate up with a removable top and remain rain tight. Having the window track correctly after each removal and reinstall of the top would be a nightmare, from an engineering state.

Is it confirmed the entire top will come off?
It was thinking it would be 3 pieces. 2 for the front and 1 over the back seats.

I’d be all for the entire top being removable.

It will work just like the current JK freedom top. The JT is wrangler based. It will not just have a removable roof. it will have 2 portions over the front seats, and 1 portion over the back seats and rear window.

Broncos and Blazers did it for years. A good design should have no issues.

The top would be lighter for removal. Lock it out when the top is off. The big advantage would be the ability to roll down 5 windows in summer. Plus a pass through to the back, whether canopied or not. With a canopy, a flip window would be worthless.

What you are describing sounds like a sunroof. I want the open air you only find with a Wrangler with the top and doors off. Not a truck with a big sunroof.

I took my JK out for a road trip today top and doors stayed home like most days. It was 26 degrees when I left in the morning and made it all the way up to 29 degrees for my ride home. It was an hour ride each way mostly freeway.

Not a sunroof, more of a safari top (like the soft top can do). It would still have the freedom panels, and the entire top could still come off. I'm just saying the rear window should roll down, like the Tundra.

I would like the rear window to open too, but i bet it going to have to be like the old Ford Rangers where it spit in the middle and slides left and right or just slides to one side. I don't think the top will have the depth to roll down as it will sit on top of the body similar to the JL. Try imaging the JL window rolling down as its not possible due to the tail gate. On the JT it will have the same issue but replace the tailgate of the JL with the body tub of the JT.
