I am looking at a new 2024 Mojave. I saw this paper in the glove box, marked “rebuild.” Does anyone know what it means?

I have asked the dealership via text, but haven't heard back. Drove it yesterday. Thinking of buying today, but forgot about it when i was at the dealer (even though i remembered to snap a photo, duh!). I am not a stranger to gladiators -- i have a 2020 rubicon with 149000 miles. Just want to make sure it isn't something that might signal a lemon.

It means that the cleanup crew didn't take it out, and when it was prepped, the tech left it in the glove box. The information is basically a coded list of parts and packages used by the plant when building the vehicle. It is not a complete list, just things where there is two or more different parts or parts packages that could be used in that particular vehicle. It is of no use after the plant finishes the build.

I found one of those sheets in my glove box also. I asked the Salesman and Service advisor, they didn’t have a firm answer, just guessing that is was left by the factory.

Gemini had this to say ..

The term "rebuild sheet" can refer to a couple of different things, primarily within the context of vehicles and engines:
* Engine Build Sheet:
* This is a detailed document that records the specifications and components used when an engine is rebuilt. It includes information like:
* Engine type and size
* Materials used for parts
* Tolerances and clearances
* Fuel system details
* Camshaft specifications
* Piston size and compression ratio
* Cylinder head details
* This sheet is crucial for mechanics and enthusiasts to ensure proper assembly and maintain a record of the engine's specifications.
* Vehicle Rebuild Sheet (or Rebuilt Vehicle Statement):
* This type of sheet is often a legal document used when a vehicle has been repaired, rebuilt, or reconstructed.
* It typically includes:
* Details about the vehicle
* A list of replaced component parts
* Information about where those parts were replaced (e.g., left front, right rear)
* Certification that the rebuilding process was legal.
* These sheets are often required by state or local authorities for vehicle titling and registration purposes, especially for vehicles assembled from component parts or those that have been deemed "rebuilt" after significant damage.
In essence, a rebuild sheet is a record of the work that has been done to rebuild or reconstruct something, whether it's an engine or an entire vehicle.
