Anybody else get this notification that their side steps were forgotten? The one I bought didn't have them, which is one of the reasons I bought it. I think they get in the way and it looks better without them.
The recall includes installation, but I'm going to try to talk them out of it, I'd like to have them since they go with the truck (and I guess I paid for them) but I would rather just keep them aside for now. How common was this?

Have them put on to see if you like them - if not, take them off.

That's probably what I'll end up doing, I didn't care for them during my other test drives. It would just be nice to get them "unused in the box" to store or sell later.
