As the title says, are there any recommendations for sway bar disconnects? I’ll be adding Rubi front springs and shocks so I figure I’ll have my mechanic do this while he’s in there. I’m not sure it’s relevant, but I also plan for a 1.5” leveler up front.

I have not used these, but they have piqued my interest. Although they do allow it, you may not need to disconnect in most situations with the crawler springs.

Make your own, look up homemade sway bar discos on youtube, that's what I ran on my JKU. Other than being quick disconnect there are no other benefits to buying them. They want improve ride quality

I’m not looking for an improvement in ride quality. I just want something easy to remove. And I’d rather not make my own. I would be nervous for them every time I get in the truck.

Sway bar disconnects will not in any way improve your ride quality. You can literally just carry a wrench & socket to do the same thing.

Not sure why, all it involves to do is replace the bottom bolts with ones you can pull a pin out of and zip tie back. You can keep your stock sway bars if you do that. It's pretty easy to do, only coat you around $10

JKS has been the standard for years ( at least upto and including TJ, (or 06) and has a great product. I do appreciate the great suggestions how easy it is to swap bolts and make your own! I will look into that.

Best brainstorm I got from this thread is to Disconnect front and rear SwayBars and see if that helps diagnose/isolate the small "noises' I get pulling out of the driveway with my Mopar 2 inch lift. Rides great but makes very slight slight noises at very low speeds. Damn you people are smart!

Do you have a good source? This sounds awfully convenient.

I'll have to look up what all I used on the JKU I had but I bought everything from lowes to do it. Main thing you got to do is get the right size clevis pin bolt and make sure you get it tight. Use a clevis pin to secure it, it's pretty much as easy as removing the bolt and putting the pin in. I may do mine today or this weekend if I get time.

I bought the TeraFlex disconnects. Its beefy, high quality and will support up to a 4 inch lift if you go that way in the future. Im a big fan of Teraflex and they have been my go to suspension upgrade folks for both my JK and now JT.

I like the function of my teraflex quick disconnect kit, and it isn't expensive, but it does put my front sway bar at an angle (links too long) even with a 1.5" front spring spacer and effectively stiffens it. Not a huge deal, but the jeep would probably drive/ride marginally better if the bar was level. I wish they made a shorter length option for us tiny lift guys. It's probably not an issue if you're 2.5"+ in the front
