Took mine off when I bought my truck, it already had a Flacon lift and 35s so I can’t comment on the MPG loss, I took the whole piece off and didn’t worry about putting it back on. Not worried about the wiring to the fogs.

I could see the lower air dam making a difference, but I’m surprised that those would make a big difference. My overland didn’t have them and I can get 22-23 mpg consistently at 75 mph.
I wonder if youd get 25 with them

theres a LOT of factors that go into mpg. My experiment seems to show that they make a quantifiable difference in mpg. What difference that is depends on the specific driver and their circumstances

for me they made a real improvement in mpg. And some anecdotal improvements that are beyond me to test, but “seemed” present v/s driving without them.

I was just reading through that. Nice work! You put a lot of thought and time into that and I appreciate our approach.

I’m not really surprised by the results. I’ve said this before, but to anyone who doesn’t think Jeep put a lot of time and effort into the aerodynamics of these, take your top of on go 75-80 mph and report back your results. That’s how fast I drive on the interstate and I consistently get 4 mpg less on beach trips with the top off or roof panels out vs the hard top on.

And then a few years later you bought a rubicon steel bumper. Lol
And if someone makes factory looking panels to close the back of that bumper, even fill some of the void, I'd be interested.
Wanted a winch, not to block cooling, and something stronger up front so almost had to go steel, but it didn't change the want for closing the back and filling that gap.

Closing that gap prevents throwing mud at your own windshield, and could help prevent tossing rocks at your own windshield like I've had happen. If someone makes a nice shield.........

Don’t get me wrong, I want your bumper, winch, and your yellow diode dynamics fog lights. I love my OEM LEDs but I miss my diode dynamics yellow fog lights on my Canyon.

I wonder how far off they are if you could make them work. Otherwise, you’d need some solid metal fab skills or maybe a 3D printer.
