Many tonneau covers require a foam rubber gasket on the front of the bed to prevent water intrusion. Evidently that part of the bed is also lower than the sides. I'm looking at a pre-owned RC tri-fold hard cover and was wondering if anyone has installed a used one or reinstalled theirs on another vehicle and had to replace this gasket?
If so, what was your solution/what did you use?
Thanks,

I bought a $200 one on Amazon back in 2019 just for vacations to keep luggage dry and I noticed the same problem. I went to Auto Zone and bought a small roll of universal self-adhesive weatherstripping designed for camper tops. They have a couple of different profile choices, IIRC.

I found some at Lowes that was the correct width and thickness, so I could move the Smartcap to the new truck. I cleaned the area with some alcohol wipes and carefully applied a piece to it.
