Called a local dealer I'm hopeful of using when there was still a lot of confusion surrounding the LE.

An obviously remote but at least fluently english speaking attendant who tried cheerfuly to lie and act like they were in the local dealership said ordering could be done and set me up an appointment for today. Since some things cleared up since, I knew that wasn't the case, but figured it was worth seeing what I could learn.

I didn't learn much. Nice enough fellow I talked to was completely clueless, but someone who seemed like a manager did say they had 2 pre-spec Gladiators coming in and knew what they were. I didn't catch the one, but one was a white Rubicon. That was a tidbit I hadn't seen anyone mention here that some dealers might know what they have coming if it happens to suit someone's desired truck. It's highly unlikely any of the pre-spec builds will be what I want, so I stopped that process pretty quickly.

Otherwise, I wielded Travis at Tri City like a flaming sword and said if you're not at least close to 7% under invoice, we have nothing to talk about. I'll take a ride to North Carolina and make a thing of it for kicks.

I definitely envy those who wanted what the LE has to offer and did their deals... the rest of us are still swimming in uncertainty.

Went to the local dealer today, they would take the order but it would not be placed until May 1st. Also, they didn’t want to negotiate the price until then. I was asking for 5% off msrp with the FCS control number. It sounded like they were going to have their invoice price 2k over msrp which is bs. Do you think we can get 5 percent below msrp?

My dealer sales person texted 4/5 that her GM is on it and they don't have an answer yet...

I'm for the LE and I Like it.

Of course they sold all 4190. They are going to sell all 75,000. Then they are going to sell another 75,000.

Hope so. Would be unfair to the buyers to make more when people were told there will be some exclusivity to the LE.
Exclusivity? 41 or 419 would have been exclusive. 4190 is a production run for some cars.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I got one. But exclusivity wasn't one of the reasons...

On 4/4 local dealer called (based on my interest prior to the LE) and said they were hoping to get 2 “in a couple weeks,” then started to tell me about the LE. Said I just spoke to her sales manager who took my LE preorder (she was the Internet person). So maybe the prebuilt ones will show up in dealerships by the end of the month?

When I officially ordered my LE way told they “hope” in May. So I don’t think even the dealers really know.

Happens all the time and wouldnt be unprecedented. Ford did this with the gt40 the mustang king of the road, etc. Said theyd only make so many then made more as there was demand. They aren't the only manufacturer who has done this either.

That's why I stray from buying into the Ltd editions. They usually dont wind up being so exclusive and are easily knocked off. Further the model is often made a regular model less a badge that can be copied.

Manufacturers are in business to make them money, not make you money.

They'll do whatever they feel they need to do so to profiteer off of their business including these Ltd editions that aren't so special after all.

These editions usually get marked up to a few suckers early on, but lose their ability to be marked up once most people finally catch on to the racket. If u buy one just to buy one because you want one, and dont get taken on a mark up, what the heck. But if you sacrifice what you really wanted to get one or got taken on a marked up price, I'm sorry, but you bought into the hype and got hornswaggled.
There’s not really a big mark up on these, that I’ve noticed,

This is a great point.
