I went on a hunt on Saturday. Rounded up a pair of 4 and 6 LED Roadshock Edge lights.
I have spent the past couple of days figuring out how i want to wire them. I think I have it
Right now I'm adding two 6 LED to the bumper, I might add another pair to the bumper. I can't power the lights off 3 or 4 as they are over 15 amps but they can act as triggers. This then leaves me two 40 amp switches for other things.
My desire was to have seperate control of the pillar and bumper lights and have a way to rocks the high beams. I figure it I want offroad high beams, i'd also want the stock ones too.
The flow:
Relay 1 is fed battery power over 30. Aux 3 acts as the 85 trigger to activate 87 which feeds to relay 2's 30 and sends power over 87a to the low beam on the pillar.
Relay 3 is fed battery power over 30. Aux 4 acts as the 85 trigger to activate 87 which feeds to relay 4's 30 and sends power over 87a to the low beam on the bumper.
The factory high beams will trigger 85 on both relay 2 and 4 and both will apply power to the highs on the Roadshock lights. If the corresponding aux switch isn't on nothing will happen when 85 is triggered on that relay because it's 30 isn't getting power
Not pictured: I'm tapping the turn signal to provide power to the pillar aux amber back light and use them as turn signals.
Hope that works ?
