The ride is pretty much stock like. After all, it is virtually the same suspension (coils, shocks, arms). The drop brackets helped keep the caster so it rides well. The 3.5" backspacing is definitely a must if you are going to run 39s with this small of a lift. Even now, I rub the fenders. I'll be separating the fenders soon enough to help with this. Also, I love the KMC beadlocks as I've had success with them on other rigs. The holes in the ring allow water to escape, I've never once sheered a ring bolt, and you can get to the backside of a bolt if one was to sheer off.

The 39's are about 37 1/2" now after 5,000 miles and 30 PSI. I like the 39s because they are bigger than a 37 and weigh less in some cases...also I am just a BFG fanboy.

awesome thank you so much for the info man,i really appreciate it :)

I can agree here as well, cause in my dads 3rd gen taco he had Bfg's and they were great on and offroad, also i want some km3's cause of the performance and the way it looks too and also cause they are undersized wich is perfect cause i dont wanna run 40's for the sake of keeping the axles alive for a bit longer, cause i did want some 40 inch nitto trail grapplers but they are 17 lbs more heavy compared to the km3's

Yeah the doing a fender chop will for sure help with giving you more clearance for those tires and also giving you more up travel possibly,The kit from American adventure labs will for sure do the job :D
but again thank you doing me a huge favor with the info :D

Glad I can help. Good luck with your build!

Separating the fenders and adding the AAL LED kit will definitely help. I ordered their kit back on July 8th and am still waiting. Hope it gets shipped in the next few weeks.

Great build and wheeling action!

I will have to bite the bullet and get mine with some quality PPF, because I want to do Jeep things and not completely thrash the paint before its paid off LOL

Did ya'll crawl up the ledge here? That'd be a nopity-nope-nope for me. My luck would pull me left into the hole. :D
There is absolutely no way any full body rig is crawling up this ledge. My buddy has a rear steer buggy and he's never cleaned that waterfall. He said he's only seen two guys ever do it without pulling winch line and both are professional rock racers.

Here is a photo of me at ground level to show the scale of this obstacle.

What gears are you running with the 39s? understand you are building axles what gears are you going to go with in the built axles?
Currently running the stock Rubi 44 3.73 ratio you get with the ecodiesel. They are working pretty well. Pulled a 3500lb trailer to the Great Sand Dunes this weekend and averaged 16.5mpg driving between 65-80mph most of the way. Probably gonna go with 4.56 in the new axles.

16 MPG towing on the stock gear set is pretty amazing. looking at either a 4.30 or 4.56 in my build. Thanks for the real world feedback

Took a trip with some friends to the Black Hills for some wheeling. A couple things I learned about wheeling in the Black Hills: trails are tight...lots of pinstriping, many trails cross one another or intersect, not a ton of info about the trails, the trail ratings are different than CO/UT. I previously took my gladdy through the San Juans in Colorado, but this was definitely the first real wheeling trip. It's different wheeling something with a bed and a big breakover angle. I learned that you have to pick lines carefully, rock sliders are your friend, and this thing needs skids everywhere. Trail damage included a busted steering stabilizer and a boomeranged rear sway bar link...a rock was the culprit in both cases.

Towed this Palomini 179 BHS from Denver to Deadwood. Jeep did great and averaged about 12MPGs...drove 70-80 most of the way. She was drinking DEF quickly while towing!

The trails get maintenance in May but by September the overgrowth will get you. I was able to buff out the majority of tree marks but don't wheel SD if you're afraid of scratches.

First nights camp at the Mystic Hills Hideaway campground. There is a bar/restaurant onsite which is super nice after a long day of wheeling.
