Rock Hard Aluminum Rear Bumper

Installed a Rock Hard Aluminum Rear Bumper. Only weighs 2 lbs more than the factory plastic one (26lbs vs 24lbs) I removed and offers rear corner protection as well.

I've always liked the idea, design & weight of the aluminum bumpers but was always wondering on how they would hold up/protect the Jeep in a traffic accident.

Glare from the license plate bulbs into the backup camera about the same?

Probably should add a few red reflectors.

Never having been in an accident I have no first hand knowledge, but I also run a Rock Hard front aluminum mid-width which has been on the JT since I bought it and it has stood up great and I use my winch a lot.

Well I also have a Tazer Mini installed so I don't have any glare when backing up

Lots of good photos from different angles.

Looks like if you get rear-ended then the tow hooks and the step below the license plate get hit first. And the trailer hitch of course. I kind of wish the step didn't stick back so far. And looks like good re-enforcement for the bed side section.
