I found an issue with the Badland and the RockHard aluminum bumper with lowered winch plate. The bolts provided by Badland are too short to accommodate the provided steel reinforcement plates and need to source a longer bolt.
I had to do the same with my Fab Fours bumper.

The fairlead plate sandwiced between the bottom of the winch and the top of the bumper, this necessitated longer bolts too. I was able to find some, crisis averted.

Good winch. It works😁

Okay, these are the mounting bolts for the winch in the underside:

Then this is the routing I took with my cables using several zip ties to secure it on the way up (follow the black corrugated cable... Than can use the belt pulley on the top center/right of photo for reference). Be sure to leave clearance with the nearby belt and exhaust. I would like to mount the disconnect switch, but it seems to fit just fine as is for now. Lifting the hood to turn on/off serves as a reminder to keep the hood up as a shield when winching. I do use a winch rope damper but an extra safety factor does not hurt.

In your second picture, it appears that the winch wiring is contacting some power steering lines and maybe the power steering unit itself? Don’t those get very hot?

It sits about 1/4" above, but it could use another zip tie to keep it further away as it is really close. Not sure how hot power steering gets, but I can imagine it would be hotter than that cable would like.

Hey friends, I know this is a zombie thread but now, but I did want to follow up in case anyone pulls this up or has a similar issue.

I had the winch cables routed as previously mentioned in this thread for the past year and had no issues with heat, vibration, etc.. and while close, it was not in contact with any lines, so I'm sure it was fine.

Fast forward to this week when I installed some Roadshock Edge 4's and had to route those cables.

I remember the recommendation to pull the air box to make the routing easy. I worked up the courage, to pull it this weekend (super easy to do) and you can see a clear path to route cables from the bumper, just inside the wheel well and up to the battery. You can even zip tie the cables to the underside of the little metal air box support beam to clean things up.

So I rerouted the winch cable and my additional lighting wiring along the same path and it made it fairly clean.

The photo is sort of upside down, but the top of the frame and bottom is the liner for the wheel well. The corregate tubing is the winch power, with the negative cable running along side it.
