Just received my leveling kit and all the parts look great except for the shocks. Hoping someone might know a little more about these than I do. I ordered the 2.25 shocks and they look great however they are very easy to push in by hand and 2 of the for really don't want to expand in their own. They push in extremely easy for the first 4 inches then become a little more difficult to compress. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm guessing you are trying to cycle them after they have been stored on their side or possibly upside down. Put them in their proper orientation and after a few cycles the gas will get to where it is supposed to be and the shocks will function properly

I’ve left them standing straight up and had the recharged to 100 psi by a race car shock builder. They all still have basically a 4” flat spot. The first 4” of travel is extremely easy to push in before they ever firm up.

If you know a race car shock builder, they might be a good person to ask about this...

Yeah they felt as if there was something wrong with them as well, however they said they just weren’t as familiar with an off road shock. They specialize in sprint car shocks.

mine the 29" version seemed fine, no dead spots, good gas charge, function well.

I would suggest talking to RKK about this and see what they think since they manufacturer them.

The shocks aren't anything off-road special, they are a monotube shock, pretty simple, they use shims to control compression and rebound making them a highly adjustable deal that any competent shock service should feel comfortable with. If you race car buddy isn't the right choice call around to some dirtbike/motorcycle suspension shops. If you can't find any call some dirt bike repair shop and ask who they send their suspension work to.

But I would first start with RKK to see what they think.
