Rockslide engineering step modification

Anyone out there hooked up there rockslide engineering steps up to there dome light for deployment? If so how did you do it?

That way when the doors are off the dome light goes on (you unlock the jeep) the steps go down and when light goes off (lock the car) they go up.

That way your key fob becomes a remote for the steps.

I know you can do it with the amp research steps with a little work.

That sounds interesting. I'll be watching out for people to chime in. Maybe you should've titled it, "Rockslide Engineering steps modification" instead of just RSE steps

My buddy said his came with some door magnets to trigger the steps to drop/retract

Hes said there is also a power switch if you have the doors off

I emailed rockslide engineering with the question along with how I did it when I had amp research steps. I think it can be done I just need to find out if they use a negative trigger wire to deploy or what set up they use.

I like the idea. It’s interesting. I currently just disable them when the doors are off. When I use my soft doors, I added magnets to those doors, so they work just like the full doors do with the steps.
