Hello all. Looking to get a set of Rocktrix RT112 wheels for my JTRD that has yet to be delivered. I am seeing on their website it calls for major trimming and a 3" lift to clear 35- 12.50 tires with the +12 offset. Seems excessive, I don't know. I tried searching, and come up with conflicting info. Some say no rubbing, others say oh yeah, no problem. I wont be getting a lift anytime soon, but do I read it right that this should be ok with the stock control arms, as they are slightly bent to allow for bigger tires? I could do a levelling kit no problem if there is a slight rub. I don't really want a ton of poke, so I'm leaning towards the +12.
I also have read that some of the AEV wheels are +18 with no problems.
Just looking for clarification before I pull the trigger on these.
Thank you
Clarence

I put RT105s with the 17x9 -12 on 305/70 tires on my Willy with Rubicon fenders and aftermarket liners with no rub. I wouldn't say they "poke" out far beyond the fenders.

I ran a different set of wheels with a -12 offset on my JKU. Had some poke, but it gave it a nice aggressive stance. I would do it again if I didn't like my OEM Overland wheels so much

Like how much poke? I got the tires and stock rubicon wheels for pretty cheap, otherwise I would have gone 11.50 wide. Then with the +12 I’d be golden and not worry about it. I’m trying to be as tucked as I can. Thanks for the replies.
Clarence.

Rt105’s +12 with 33” tires and 17” wheels. No lift. You may have more poke with a 35” tire.

I have wide axles like you and +6. No clearance issues.

I can take some pics if you'd like to see how much clearance there is for the inside sidewalls.

Looks good. I think it will work. The rocktrix website had me all worried cause it shows a 35-12.50 tire in the red zone with the +12 saying severe rubbing and interference.
