Hello all. Looking to get a set of Rocktrix RT112 wheels for my JTRD that has yet to be delivered. I am seeing on their website it calls for major trimming and a 3" lift to clear 35- 12.50 tires with the +12 offset. Seems excessive, I don't know. I tried searching, and come up with conflicting info. Some say no rubbing, others say oh yeah, no problem. I wont be getting a lift anytime soon, but do I read it right that this should be ok with the stock control arms, as they are slightly bent to allow for bigger tires? I could do a levelling kit no problem if there is a slight rub. I don't really want a ton of poke, so I'm leaning towards the +12.
I also have read that some of the AEV wheels are +18 with no problems.
Just looking for clarification before I pull the trigger on these.
Thank you
Clarence
I have a 2020 Rubicon, I put on a 2" spacer lift, 17x9 Rock Trix 114's with -12 offset and 37" tires. I know the Rubicon has taller fenders, but even with just a 2" lift. I recently attended Jeeptoberfest in Ocala FL, the only time I had any rubbing was at full stuff and trying to turn a sharp corner. Even that could have been alleviated with the right bump stops. A +12 offset should pull the wheel in by almost an inch. (25.4mm per inch).

Sorry to keep dragging this on. I’m still looking for someone to chime in that has this exact setup. Here is a comparison screenshot, and it look like it wil work. I mean, it might rub if I’m trying to stuff it up there off-road, but till I get a level or a lift, it will be ok.

Thanks for the pictures. So yours are a -12, and the ones I just ordered are a +12, so that's 1" tucked in more, but with an almost 315 tire. So if my "calcumalations" and kuzinta's are right in my head, I should be about the same as where you are. Maybe a slight more tucked in. Like 1/2" or something.
I just pulled the trigger and ordered them. If something doesn't work out, I'll lift it till it does!!
Thanks all who helped. I will come back and update with pictures when they are on, as everyone likes a visual comparison, and loves pictures!!

@69charged that is a sharp looking wheel. Are you keeping the factory tires?
Thanks. Going on a white rubicon Gladiator diesel.
Currently have a set of used 35" Goodyear Duratracs with 3000kms on them. Not my first choice of tire, but they were cheap for what they are. I will look to replace them when they wear out with either a Falken wildpeak, BF KO2'S, or another lighter 35" or maybe 37".

I've got a 2020 JTR with Rock Trix RT114 17X9 with -12 offset with 37" BFG KO2'S. I am also running an Iron Rock 2 inch lift with Bilstein shocks. I really like my offset and overall stance. I may decrease the front rake, especially when I install my new winch and bumper.

Looks great! I'm not a fan of the gold color in general, but I would change my mind if my JTR were white. It looks really good on the white JTR!

Okay!!! It’s here! What a crazy ride with the dealer to get it in my driveway. I said I would post follow up pics. The poke is more than I would like. Eventually when these 12.5’s wear out, I will move to a skinnier 35”. Just got home last night with it, and started work on it this morning.

I still have a 1.5 level and 1” rear spacer to go on. Eventually I’ll move to a 2.5”, but for now that’s what’s it’s getting.

I went with the Gold/Bronze color (which is darker than I thought, but I like better) because I have the tab leather interior and no red dash. Otherwise I probably would have stayed with the Rubicon red theme.
