You bet. The primary difference is found in the doors. We designed the EVO Sport with bonded glass Gullwing doors. For the EVOa, we went with double-walled stainless steel doors. Plus, we have mounted MOLLE panels on the backside of the doors to help you organize and stow your gear. Attached is a feature comparison matrix for our three lines of SmartCaps.
Just to clarify, can the side glass doors be changed out later for the solid metal doors?

is the drawer deeper than the storage bin? Doesn't look like the bin has the drop down section or maybe it just goes all the way up.

I can't seem to find dimensions anywhere.

How do you like the kitchen...any issues with stuff breaking off road?

Love it! It’s been all over some knarly trails and not a thing has broke on kitchen or drawers. Best investment if you have the need.

For the time being (at least 2021) the answer is no. But we would encourage you to check back in with us this time next year.

I ordered my EVO Sport from Northridge today. They just received a shipment of 20 units. @RSI North America Inc, are the latest tops shipping with the proper 12mm spacers or is this an issue I still need to address? Thank you.
As the changeover to the 12mm spacers was made recently, it is possible, but not likely that the older spacers are still included. If your SmartCap comes with the older spacers, please send an email to our Support Team ([email protected]) and we'll send some out to you directly.

I’m going with no on this batch. Just received and installed mine tonight and the tailgate is super tight. You cannot open one without the other, either direction you try.

The side windows seem very flexy/flimsy to me. We were quite nervous flipping the topper over and getting it up onto the truck. They advertise that this thing will come on and off very easily…I’m confident you’re going to shorten the lifespan of the product if you take it on and off frequently. It is very flimsy and I could absolutely see it bending and/or glass breaking if you flexed it just right.

You should have received the 12mm spacers with your cap. That being the case (and assuming the spacers are installed in the correct locations), if you are having trouble with the tailgate being tight it’s likely because the cap is too far back on the bed and the rear door is dragging on the upward sloping tailgate cap, or the clamps have been over-torqued, or a combination of the two. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Support Team at [email protected] and they can help diagnose the issue with you.

As for the structural integrity of the SmartCap, when properly assembled and installed, it is built to support a 330lb dynamic load and 770lb static load. And when it comes to removing and reinstalling your SmartCap, as long as care is taken during the process, and it is stored properly, you should be able to enjoy your SmartCap for many years to come.

As I wait for the incompetent delivery company to reschedule my delivery for the 3rd time in 2 weeks, I have a couple of questions for those who have already installed their caps:

1. Do you have to remove the factory bed rails to install the RSI Smartcap?

2. What are you guys using to install and remove the cap with one person? (Lift type brand or any other sugestions)

Just finished installing my smartcap. Generally, very pleased. One thing to note - the studs on the roof broke loose and started to spin during installation as soon as I got to the nylock bead. I was able to use a screwdriver under the washer to put enough friction to stop the turning and get it down to the appropriate torque level, but RSA may want to give those bolts an extra bead when welding them on :). Other than that, everything went smoothly and whatever adjustments/extra pads have been added seem to work cause mine seems to fit just fine.

I'm curious which studs you're referring to? On my truck with the cap, it used tension plates with bolts/nuts. I don't remember any studs. Perhaps they changed the assembly process?
