Hi All !

semi new to the forum, but I grabbed a 2023 high altitude, and I’m looking to beef it up with 35’s and a 1.5” teraflex leveling kit.

I’ve done some extensive research and realized the 2” mopar lift will be too much for it and make the 35’s look small.

So my next question is, what should I go with if I want to give it another inch or so from stock+TF Leveling kit?

another .75” daystar in the rear? Or a Rubi suspension? I also think the high altitude has better shocks than the Rubi? So can i just put springs and sway links in it?

I plan on adding the better lower control arms too. And my custom front bumper I made (got some weight to it)

thank you everyone!

(P.s. not a fan of the stock 20” rims on 32” tires - coming off asap)

That bumper could take out an Eleyfink!!!! You made the angry grill look even more aggressive!!! Good work on the fab though.

the 2” may look a little off for a while but it sets you up for 37”s if that’s ever on the radar. Plus if you off-road having that lift with the 35”s isn’t a bad idea. Gives you a bit more flexy room for uptravel. If you want to mix and match components they’ve gotta jive on travel. The Rubi springs may give you too much travel for the high altitude shocks. Then you’ve got to adjust bump stops, relocate shock ends……. It’s a whole rabbit hole. If you just want a bit more lift just look into something aftermarket that fits the specs for the shocks you have if those are what you like.

understood, thank you!

so I’m thinking I could go for a full Rubi suspension swap + TF leveling kit and dynastar 3/4” rear pucks, and get the lift I want

or

full 2” mopar lift if possible.

I don’t love the factory rake, but I’ve seen some jeeps lifted too much with both Mopar 2” and leveling it, and the 35s look small.

I think the Mopar lift with 35s looks good, especially on the models like yours that have the lower fender flares. But it will leave the rake and the kit parts are not made for changing the front ride height.

Are you doing the lift for looks, or are you going to be off roading? If just for looks, I'd get a coil spacer lift with shorter spacers in the rear and some shock extensions. You'll have enough room for 35s and they won't look small at all. Some might even think they look a little big for the lift.

I wouldn't bother with Rubi springs.

I put a 2.5" Clayton Ride Right on mine for 35s. Similiar price to the Mopar kit, but you get adjustable parts, track bars, minus shocks, and it removes most of the rake. I added Bilstein 5100 shocks so I didn't have to mess with shock extensions brackets and factory shocks that were too short. Total cost for parts under $2k.

But it is a little taller than the Mopar 2" lift., maybe too tall for your preference.

yeah that actually looks really nice and I’d like the same style, my front might droop a little with the bumper so I was thinking a small level kit in front as well. Are you running 18” or 17” wheels?

So my options would be your setup with a 1” level in front?

Or

2.5” pucks in front and .75” pucks in rear. Not sure what else I’d need with that though. Should I need front and rear shock extensions?

I have the same wheels you currently have, the stock High Altitude 20s. Kind of hard to see in the pic. Running them with 1.5" wheel spacers.

You could certainly add a 1" spacer to the front of a Clayton kit. Many do this, it looks good, especially when you have extra weight like you do. Mine has a plastic bumper.

Another option, Clayton offers a 1.5" Ride Right kit. Might be more what you're after for looks vs their 2.5" kit. There are pics here of rigs with the Clayton 1.5" coils.

You would definitely want front shock extensions for a 2.5" spacer. Also sway bar links and something to correct caster, either arms or brackets. In the rear with 3/4" spacers, just the spacers will be good enough for that small height change.

I have the Texas Trail Edition which is pretty much the same as yours with different badging. I got me set of rubi takeoffs and added the 1.5" teraflex leveling kit. Currently running 35s. I love the way it turned out (especially for the price) but I personally think an extra 1-1.5" lift would be perfect.

it sounds like just going with the 2” Mopar lift would be best with a TF front leveling kit (maybe only just 1” of the 1.5” kit?) or won’t need it at all

I think it is all comes down to personal preference and how much you are willing to spend. Do you plan on taking it out on trails or just as a daily? If it is just a daily, I think my current setup would be just fine and it didnt even cost me $500 (not including the wheels and tires)

I have a good offer on a used 2” Mopar lift I’m planning to grab, just worried it’ll be too much for only going with 35s, but hard to tell from pics only

I dont think a 2" lift would be over the top but totally understand it is hard to tell from pictures.

I don't like the idea of adding spacers on top of the Mopar kit because it's not made for that lift height. The front shocks will be a little too short. Also the front sway bar links. Probably not enough to cause you issues, but maybe enough to bother you knowing it's not quite right.

got it thanks, I thought a 1” puck in front would work with that 2” mopar lift?

Thoughts on this set up instead? 2.5” RC spacer in front and 3/4” spacer in rear with some added Lower control arms and an adjustable track bar? Or is that not needed?

Thanks
