Wow, I never considered that. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd pick a quiet ride over looks any day...but if possible, I'd definitely prefer a tire that looks like it belongs on the Rubicon. Thanks very much for bringing this up...this is exactly why I wanted to post here :)

They're expensive, so I just want to confirm - These are essentially a road tire, but with A/T sidewalls? And will be much quieter than my Falken WildPeak A/T 3W's?
I couldn’t even hear them with the windows down. I had them on a GMC, is why I mentioned windows down. I had a few other friends run them and they loved them too. They’re technically called an A/T, but look at the tread pattern. That’s no A/T. They were good in the snow and fine on dirt roads and in the rain so that’s all I needed from them.

Look at an overland with all season tires on it. They look so bad. I swapped my all seasons out at 3k miles.

I have been into Wranglers/Gladiators for 17 years; have owned ten of them. Had all sorts of tires, mostly ATs: K02s, Grabber ATXs, Duratracs, Nokian ATs, etc. All did very well on-road and decently off-road. Well, other than the Duratracs, which wore fast and got loud with age.

My 2023 JTR came with Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires. I would say these are the best truck tires I have owned to date: they are quiet, ride comfortably, are competent on-road, do well in the rain, and decent on the trails and snow. I will be hard pressed to get a different tire when the time comes to replace them.

I would concur for PNW weather, the Wildpeak AT3W are a phenom do-it-all tire. I never had issue with traction for what most of us experience. I didn't venture into deep, deep stuff (things that make for good YT vids). But driving WA, ID, MT, WY in winter? No problem.

Mine didn't start making loud noises until about 40k miles, when I went a little too long between rotations.

I'm definitely having a wildly different experience with mine - They're REALLY loud. They are great in the snow though.
They might have run past their useful life. Or perhaps they haven't been rotated properly.

I've been rotating my Wildpeaks religiously with every oil change. Like I said, the best AT tire I have owned to date.

I just bought this truck used with 50k miles on it. And the rear tires look newish, while the front look fairly worn. So maybe that's the noise issue with these?

Even if that's the case, I'm glad I asked (and you all chimed in), cause that's good to know. I'm usually good about rotating tires, but now I'll be extra diligent.

Yeah. From what I have seen, the vast majority of owners seem very happy with their Falken Wildpeak ATs.

If you do end up getting another set, make sure they are C-load. Our OE tires are C-load; it makes for a comfortable ride.

Good luck!

They aren’t the quietest A/T on the market, I noticed that they’re louder than my Jeep’s A/Ts (dueler a/t Revo 3) when they gave me Rubicon service loaners, but they are not obnoxious by any means. You can just hear them hum a little bit.

Here’s what I would do, unless you just want a dead silent tire. Run your hands over the rear tires that you said look new. If they don’t feel cupped, then I’d buy two new front tires and you should notice a big difference and save yourself like $600.

I rotate every 5k when I change the oil.

I have no problem with the Falken Wildpeaks whatsoever. They came with my JTR and overall, I don't see why there would be complaints. I can't attest to how they would perform crawling up the side of mountain or the noise when running 90mph with the doors and top off, but overall, they seem like a great tire for most of us. My JTR has about 14k on it and the tires looks hardly worn. Noise, well, if I wanted complete silence I would have bought a Lexus. Let's understand what we are purchasing.

Similar experience and I don't disagree with your opinion!
