Rubicon, would installing the "open hood vents" improve cooling when towing?

I installed vents in my XJ it helped in cooling at low speeds or stopped but sucks in rain that was interesting when stopped steam rolling out. At road speeds I don't remember any big change. But I had a big transmission cooler and power steering coolers too.
