Sad to see it go. Sarge green is my favorite color. But not all is lost! In its place we got a Gladiator Rubicon pretty loaded. ?

Will start working on installing the metal bumper and winch I took off the Willys and a bunch of other goodies. Now I need to make up my mind on lift or level.

Aw, the Sarge green looked great. Good luck with the Rubi.

My reasoning behind trading in for a Rubicon, besides them being cooler and nicer, I calculated around $12-13k if I wanted to get the Willys to the level of this Rubi. It would have taken much more than the difference I paid for the Rubi. I gained leather, cargo management, locking storage under the rear seat, led headlights, 8.4" radio and the Alpine system, F&R lockers and lower gearing, aux switches and Rubicon decals on the hood, etc. I figured it made more sense.

That makes sense man. I bought mine and then learned all the details after being here on this forum and in hindsight should have done a Mohave or even a Rubicon. Not near the deal, paid peanuts for this truck but still would have been worth it. Your right on that, lot of work to get a Willys to that level.

Nice upgrade. You’ll love it. Not that the Willy’s isn’t amazing. But congrats.

You’re out of the Sarge Green club ?

Congrats on the Rubi
I looked left and right for a Sarge Rubi and found one but pretty plain. Cloth and no cold weather pack. I live in the southwest but at 7,300 feet in elevation and it gets cold here that is why heated seats and steering wheel are a must.

Definitely. Heated seats and remote start. 8,600’ here in Colorado. Even in April I still used it this morning.

Welcome to the Rubi club. At least it's not a Mojave.

Forecast has snow for tomorrow. April here tends to be chilly in the mornings and nights. We only get 4-5 months of warmer weather here. We've had days where the forecast has it clear and sunny but we end up with snow. ?ā€ā™‚

Us too. It was really cold today, but sunny and beautiful. We’ll certainly get snow in May.

I'm actually impressed with the Alpine system. I was expecting a slight improvement over the stock system but it does sound much better. Bass is good, not earth shaking, but sufficiently good. Well, I'm a 52 year old guy but still enjoy bass but not neighborhood terrorist bass.

I have the base system and replaced my sound bar speakers with Alpine refresh yesterday. It’s a clear indication that the speakers were lacking. Now I can hear how much better they are than the dash speakers that are still stock base. I like bass as well, but don’t have much without a sub. But I don’t want to lose storage space. I’m pretty sure the furthest I’ll go would be to swap the upper dash speakers.
