Started out as a WW2 tribute but has turned into a WW2 / Vietnam tribute. The hood numbers/letters represent the tail number and Vietnam Memorial Wall location of a cousin that was shot down in Vietnam (May 12, 1967). Added the custom nose art (rear fender) which is a tribute to my wife who was the 1972 Miss Grantsville Queen and the 1972 Miss Tooele County Queen. The P-40 Warhawk sticker and Invasion Star stickers were part of my original WW2 theme. The “1941WW2” license plate is new (the font is different than normal Utah license plates). Not done yet; there's more to come!

I'm right there with you brother.

My first "patrol" car was an M151 at Fort Hood.
The serial number is a "tribute" to my better half - it's our wedding date.

- I GOTTA put the door stars, and MILITARY POLICE decal on.

"Everywhere you go there's an MP there..."

Love it! I need to add either U.S. ARMY above the hood numbers or the hood star. I don't think that I can get away with both because the Rubicon hood is so busy anyway. I'm most likely going to remove the JEEP lettering on the tailgate and add "THUNDERCHIEF" (the official name of the aircraft my cousin was flying). After that I'll leave everything alone for a while to see if it all ties in well and so I don't overdo it.

Have a Sarge Green Rubicon. Yes color changes a bit in different lighting. Rarely do get direct sunlight. Even a little cloud cover changes color. But I do notice that many of the photos on the computer/internet seem a bit off compared to how looks in real life.
I think the color is supreme in most 90% of the day. Sometimes just a bit pale if in really bright light - same as my previous gobi turned yellow, or silvers glitter/sparkle. Under my garage lights or in evening has that dark olive drab green look. Other times kind of a evergreen/forest green. Other times looks like my old olive drab watch cap had in Army that is faded a bit.

I also notice that things like black fenders vs sarge green fenders really can change the look/color shade. As well if grille is black. Black bed lining or cover gives the contrast as well. To be honest just ordered a set of Mopar textured black ones to swap out with my painted ones. As saw one like mine the other day with the black fenders, and liked.

kind of liking the red/black rubicon lettering. At first was kind of 50/50 on it, but now realize it is a good contrast. Reminds me of some military logos have seen.

Giant Red RokBlokz really make the color pop and protects your door hinges. Mine look way too big with no lift and stock M/T tires on the Rubi. It will grow into them at some point.
