Yes; that’s right. Those are the stock wheels (17 by 7.5). The tire that is on there now is taller and also wider than the OEM Wildpeak. A lot of tire manufacturers list the recommended rim width online. And yes, Toyo would advise a wider rim for this particular tire (8.0 rim width minimum). But I can also tell you that there are a lot of people running tires of this width and even larger diameter on the same stock rims. I think the tires will round up and wear more on the center of the tread, if you run a rim too small, and the tire at the advised pressure. You would need to run a lower pressure I suppose to get the surface of the tire to be within its recommended “flatness”. Ali Mansor has a good YouTube video on this - check his chanel and search 35’s no lift.Andrew, It looks like you mounted the 35's to the original wheels, is that what you had done?
I feel like I have to add at least an inch to the width of the wheel to put on 35s.
