Howdy. Quick details and Debut Pics...ordered 3/20, Built 5/19, then this Gobi was LOST in the system, like untraceable. Finally arrived 7/16 out of the blue to dealer without a window sticker. Best guess is, it didn't get scanned in the train transfer lot (because there wasn't a window sticker) and someone saw it sitting there for like 2 months and FINALLY ran the VIN and realized it should have been in Colorado 2 months ago. Dealer ordered me the actual window sticker and it was shipped and given to me, so I have it for my JT records binder.

I'm super happy with my minor upgrade results. I off road up in the mountains but mainly on fire roads, nothing crazy, so this level of mods works for me. Plus I'm really enjoying the factory feel. FYI I've had 7 Wranglers; now my first JT and I've done the lifts and all the stuff before, so I wanted to keep this rig very conservative. Here's all I've done and I might be done haha.
  1. Free Rubi rails from a forum member. Thank you!!!
  2. Rough Country rubber bed mat.
  3. KMC Roswell 720 Wheels, 17" x 8.5" in matte anthracite.
  4. BFG 285/70/17 White Letters Out for the 70s/80s look, but I've always ran white letters out lol.
  5. KC lights 8" on EAG cowl light mounts, swapped out for BigLion.X 7" led's from Amazon. Very easy plug and play install with no drilling.
  6. D-ring hitch in white to complement the white decal outlines. And it was left over from my Jk and that was white, so I already had it. These are the best kind of parts...already sitting in a parts box in the garage.
  7. Finally I designed and installed the new decals: side cowl, tailgate, and hood. I was really trying to capture an 80s basic factory look. Since there was a Scrambler and this is the modern iteration of that, I felt it needed to be the Scrambler II :)
If anyone is wondering about the wheel tire combo, there is VERY little poke, like about than an inch-ish or so if that. No rub.

Happy Trails!

JTDay! I researched and stressed out about the poke and offset way more than should be legally allowed haha. I had originally ordered the Quadratec white CJ retro wheels but they were backordered for almost a year, so I went with these and couldn't be happier! Thank you for your kind words : )

I agree with JTDay. This is the first time I've seen those wheels and they look great on your truck.

Are those wheels the 18mm offset version? I was just peeking around and I think even on just rubi takeoffs, I have some rubbing on my narrow axle JT. I was hoping to avoid spacers with 35s but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Yes, these are the +18mm offset. My JT is a Sport S, and there's no rub at all with full turn with the 285's. You might be right abt rubbing on 35s. I had some rubbing long ago on a TJ and used washers on the turn steering stop bolt on the frame. It cuts down the turn radius but it cured the rub sitch lol.
