Well never had a tonneau cover but the crab crawl thing sounds pretty bad. I have a Ranger which I have drove for years and never had a problem, but I have laid the tailgate down and had stuff hanging over the edge and strapped to the tie downs. Might loose some of this functionality if the tailgate was a swing arm.

I would prefer full half doors. I dont really like the cutouts.

Yup.


Personally, I had half doors on my TJ. Never used 'em as just the "half" door. Either doors on, or doors off. Never understood the point. The windowed half door is a neat sorta throwback to the windowed CJ doors of yesteryear though.

We really need 6500-7200 towing capability. I was optimistic about this early on when there were spy shots that had a class 4 hitch, but with the assumed JL commonality I fear this is unlikely.

We've been really happy with our JKU-R's 3.6L but I wish FCA would finish the darn engine as per its initial design and boost it to compete with the 3.5L Ecoboost.

6500LB towing is already "confirmed" via leaked documents. It's not just a JL with a bed, it has an entirely separate frame and the rear axle from the Ram 1500s based on spy photos.

1. Sky One-Touch Power top on the Gladiator
2. Diesel Engine Brake
3. Integrated Brake Controller
*since the Gladiator will have a max towing capacity of 6,500 lbs and has a 7 & 4 electric brake plugs.
