I recently bought, after much consternation, the Desert Does It Seat Jackers. I reviewed the threads on them, and they seem to have wide spread "thumbs up" as it relates to seat comfort. I have recently been getting more and more annoyed at how I feel like I'm sliding forward into the footwell on downward descents or harder braking, and contemplated the seat risers. For a long time the price was off-putting, but I pinched my nose and bought a double pair. I looked everywhere for some form of knock off, as I firmly believe these are horrendously over-priced. Perhaps the most overpriced product I've ever bought for a vehicle, ever, relative to the price of manufacturing. When I received the package, once again I was in shock that I paid so much for a milled piece of aluminum. But hey, things are only worth what people are willing to spend!
Install went easily, and the results so far are pleasant. I have my seat down as far as it will go, and it feels better for sure. What still irks me is the cost, and I can't separate that feeling from the overall issue of whether I'd recommend them. So the long and short(y) of it is a seat riser on these seats does improve the comfort, and reduces the sensation of sliding forward. I'd recommend a seat riser to pretty much anyone, but I have no issues saying these are painfully overpriced and would have bought a knock-off or alternate version if one was available. For comparison, I tried searching for seat risers but the most expensive I could find was $60.
I post this review not to bash on the company or product, but rather in hopes they will reduce the price so more people can order a set if they wanted. It's a good fix but yikes on the price.
