Securing SunRider when Open

I appreciate the feedback. I kind of figured that it was more of a liability issue, but wasn't sure.

I’ve used them to secure other things, but not the sunrider. I originally assumed more than three years ago, that they were to prevent it from bouncing on trails. It never moves. I don’t use them ever.

Only time I have secured mine is when off road on sand dunes where I'm traveling fast, never on the highway or around town

I didn't even remember there was straps. Mine is 4 years installed without issues.

I recently installed a SunRider on my Gladiator and really enjoy not having to remove/store/re-install the Freedom Panels while out and about.
However, BesTop recommends to velcro strap the arms after opening to prevent the top from being blown shut. How many of you all actually do this? I could see where if the conditions were right, it might possibly happen, but otherwise?

I've been running one since they came out. Never an issue. I've run it mostly on my JL and now on my JT.
