Is it dealership wide procedure to only diagnose a towed in Jeep after scheduled vehicles? Local dealership has had ours. Had to have it towed on a Monday morning. Was flashing engine light. They finally looked at it the following Saturday. Said it was coding P0300. So they reset drove it 5 miles let it idle said it was ok. I tried to drive it home startd skipping flashed engine light and smells hot. Took it back and left it. Tuesday morning when I called about it we are basically at the end of the line agin. I thought since they had worked on it all ready and had not really left they should take it right in this morning. I was wrong. If I look for another dealership would they have the same protocol. The Jeep is a 2023 Gladiator Willys with 3,603 miles.

Pretty much.

Everybody else ahead of you has their own problems and time management to deal with also.

It is not a hospital where they triage vehicles (for the most part).

They should have an emergency lane. lol Yea I was afraid that would be the answer. Maybe a less busy dealership.

I'm betting there was another code to go along with the P0300. The P0300 is a generic code indicating a misfire condition. I had a coil pack go bad and the P0300 code was always accompanied by another code (i.e. P0303, Cylinder 3 misfire). My misfire would occur randomly and would usually clear itself within a couple minutes or sometimes would clear after I pulled over, shut down the vehicle and restarted.

I thought there would be something causing the code and yes I think there was another. Just resetting isnt fixing it?

In rural far western washington I've had the same issue. When my aux battery died it took them a week and half to figure it out. It seems to be the norm in dealerships these days, short staffing and parts backlogs are a persistent problem.

If there is another dealer close by it's possible they could get to it sooner, but I wouldn't bet on it. For us here, there is only one dealer within a two hour radius.

I think it all depends on a couple of things:

If you took it to where you bought it, you should receive preferential service. If not, it can be what you experienced.

I have had several warranty issues since purchasing my Gladiator in April of 24'.

I took it to a different Jeep Dealer than I purchased it from, because I already had a relationship with one of the Service Advisor's, from when they worked on my 2016 JKU.

The first time it was towed in like you and they checked it out the day it arrived. They kept it for "14" days. It needed a brand new transmission. On their nickle.

The second time I worked with a different Service Advisor for a check engine light. It was a bad 02 sensor. I was out the door an hour later.

I always leave a 5 Star Google Review. I always get 5 Star Service...

Just Saying....

We took it back to the dealership that we bought it from. I talked with the salesman he was going to try to expedite and get a loaner for us. Nothing happened. Talked to the assistant manager that degraded fast when I told him they wouldnt be getting a good rating. He said I called him to ask for help then threatened him. Well I'm very frustrated. We are up to $1000 on a rental. My daughter is visiting and we had many plans. not to mention getting her to and from the airport. The manager and I said our appaligies. I said I understand if it needs time to be fixed but could they at least let me know what is the problem. They would get it in and he would call by end of day. Two days ago and nothing yet. This is the third jeep w have gotten from them. the others were leases no problems for anything. This we bought in February and it was back in April because of ticking noise which they couldnt hear. ok I've vented enough

Loaners have never been an official policy with CDJR dealers. That has been a rub with quite a few folks in the same situation as you.
