I may, or may not be talking to Jeep6 about bobbing my bed...
That is commitment. Cheaper to chop than buy a motobilt? Just asking. I haven’t checked. I’d want to be able to change my mind.

$5K for painted and swapped with my bed as a core(also chopping down my trail rail system to matcth and bed cover AND linex). Motobilt is $5300 before shipping, assembly, paint, extra lights etc. So def saving money. I also like the stock look better. Nothing against the Motobilt bed, just my personal preference.

Also I dont know if you can change your mine if you go Motobilt back to stock since you have to cut the frame down to do the bobbing.

I don’t realize you needed to chop the frame. I’d go your route as well, and also like the factory bed better.

I learned about that when discovering and reading @drewcnit 's build thread.

Yep, I think Motobilt's chop is 14 5/8" and most OEM chops like Jeep6 take out 12"....there's a guy local to me that's done a few OEM chops, I love the look. Nobody was doing them back when I grabbed the Motobilt one!

The one thing about Motobilt's and the price, you also get rear fenders and a rear bumper at that price. The whole setup works together, but it's full commit, no going back.

Same with the frame chop front bumper I run now, I think that took off 3 inches on the front frame, full commit.

Any frame cut behind the wheels could always be put back even if it is not a piece of a donor frame and a pure fabrication frame pieces. Thd big trick would be to locate a factory bed if one decides to go back.
