Hey guys, been a while since I’ve been in this forum. Wanted to know your guises thoughts on shock extensions until I fully upgrade my entire suspension
My car has a leveling kit at the moment that was installed by previous owner.

Basically thinking of adding shock extenders and changing springs for the time being.
Eventually will upgrade entire suspension and also hopefully install a v8.
Also, lower control arms need to be replaced, what’s your favorites brands?

Leveling kit.. HOW BIG? Just the Front? IMO shock extensions need to be the proper length and are ok.. many Lift kits use them.. As for adjustable control arms.. Never used them even with an AEV 2.5" Dual Sport lift .. Did use GC brackets .. Guess that the control arms you select need to be for the length of the lift installed. Have you had an alignment to get the current specs? might be within range still.

I have Rubicon Express shock extensions on the front they are really nicely made, I am also using Mopar LCAs on the front, they added back some caster after adding a spacer lift, available and reasonable.

There's nothing wrong with doing your lift in stages, but the need for shock extensions depends on the height change. Can you post more details and/or pictures of what you have now?

P.S.- It's not a car...

Nothing wrong with shock extensions, most shocks are designed around being at a certain length when doing regular driving so the extension will return the shock back to where it wants to be.

P.S.- It's not a car...
It technically is a car. Its not a sedan, van, suv, roadster, coupe, etc but it is a car.
