Playing around with my GMRS radio and I shorted out a mystery circuit.

It's on the passenger side footwear, but isn't the aux wires.

It goes behind the panel for the door connector and disappears.

Anyone know what circuits are back there?

I didn't install the radio so I have no idea what it's tied into. But there can't be that much in the passenger footwear door area.

Could be anything. There are quite a few circuits under the dash that could be used to power the radio. I would just check the fuses, you should be able to quickly pinpoint which one is blown with a meter.

Not really under the dash. It's behind the passenger kick panel. Was hoping that would narrow it down.

Freaking pins on a cheap connector pulled out and touched.

I get that, but they could have run the power from anywhere to that location. Most of the usable circuits for a GMRS radio, outside of the AUX wires, would come from the dash and be routed to the kick panel for the connector. It may even come from the engine bay if the installer wasn't thinking straight.

Rather than guess, though, it's easier to just test the fuses.

I'm In a parking not with no meter.

Wires run to a big plug behind that kick panel

What big plug? The door connector?
Can you get a picture of the plug?

What ever that plug runs to is the circuit. Just don't have a clue what it is.

I thought on Wrangler that's the side the wiring going back to the trailer connector follows......... at least if you add it, that's where you are supposed to run it.
