Super tempted by the saddle leather, but at the auto show last year those seats were absolutely trashed by a death of a thousand butts. I'd honestly rather have black seats and tan plastic trim, but it is what it is. Can anyone with tan seats convince me staining won't be an issue? Pics appreciated!

Full disclosure - I've only ever had black leather. The seats in my current vehicle look about as good as they did 20 years ago. If I don't get the saddle leather then I'm likely to just get black cloth.

Will do when I get home. I think Saddle is pretty rare to find at a dealership. I had to pull the trigger blind. A friend convinced me its the way to go after he had both and the black kept burning his children's butts when the top was off. I plan to have the top off and I also love the contrast. There is such a thing as too much black. I also only have 600 miles on them so they are basically new.

I don have those seats in my JT but for years i have had BMW's with Oyster Interior (white) and jeans would stain them. It's easy to clean just take hot water and dishwasher soap and it comes out:

Wife has a ‘14 ‘Vette with Kalahari interior. I had a Camaro SS with the same. It’s my absolute favorite interior color. Zero problems with stains. I would; however, wash any new dark jeans a couple times before I wear them. I don’t like blue legs either!

11,000 miles and look new.

I am very fond of these seats, but curious why Jeep calls it "dark saddle". It is a medium tan.

Exactly; I'd love to see a true dark brown leather option like the old Commanders had.

I'd like to see the Commander brought back, for that matter.

Not that I would buy one, but I liked the design better than the Cherokee. Except the XJ.

I would not have thought of using dish soap on leather. Yeah I absolutely could not deal with the stress of a white interior. Just seems like begging for problems.

So maybe in practice the leather wears a little better than the beater I happened to see?

I put seat covers on mine for the warm weather; remove them when top off weather is done. Love the Saddle.
