See these 2 posts. Would be great if you could check out the rear seat supports. If the under seat storage box is removed then we think that these may be what holds the seat bottom (and people sitting on them) in place.

That is exactly what this black squares are.
This one has the under seat storage. When I sit in the back I can still slide my fingers between the seat and the storage box.

Can you ask anyone about the soft top operation? If I wanted to take it off completely how difficult would it be? I hate the sun rider position.

I tell ya it’s impossible to get anyone from Jeep or from Mopar to tell you if you must have the trail rail system in order to get the hard trifold tonneau cover installed. I plan to get a base Sport model and the Jeep build site does not show that you can get the trail rail system on a Sport model. But I have an email from a guy at Jeep saying that it would be available on all trim levels. And I asked him if he was double certain about that since that’s not what the build site shows and he reconfirmed it to me. Hope he’s right.

And FYI it’s 100 percent impossible to get Mopar to tell you anything or to even give you the time of day. They do not reply to any written reguests for info. Nada zilch.

And as you know it’s posted on the Jeep
site and on the Mopar site that this hard trifold tonneau cover would be available but no one has ever seen one. Kinda like Bigfoot. Does it really exist? Hell they even had a sign at a show that the truck displayed had that hard trifold tonneau cover on it but it was not on the truck.

From Mopar: "Similar in design to tonneau covers for Ram 1500, but configured to fit Jeep Gladiator." So it's probably a Mopar-branded version of the BAKFlip MX4. It comes with rails that attach to the bed cap.

I really want to have the 4 bed tie downs, also want the under the back seat lock box and I feel the actual bed rails will come into use for numerous applications other then the hard trim tonneau cover. And the bed lights will help to see things under the tonneau at night time. Don’t really care about the bed power outlet. Hopefully by the end of this month dealerships will be able to place orders and I hope to find out that I really can get the trail rail system as the guy from Jeep told me.

Crossing fingers for the hard trifold tonneau cover as well. But if I can’t get that on a base Sport models then no doubt aftermarket companies will be lined up to offer them. We shall see.

So the 4 corner bed tie downs are standard and I believe so is the in bed led light. Seems like the only part of the trail rail system you want is the locking box.

See also the attached from the Jeep build site for the Gladiator showing the exact same info. It doesn’t mention the bed lights but I heard that mentioned in numerous videos. It sure would be nice if some of these things came standard though. For certain bed tie downs should be standard on any and all pick ups.

Oh and bangolia I may be a tad wrong about the tie downs. They are not mentioned on the Jeep build site but they are mentioned as being part of that package in the email from the guy at Jeep. Will find out for certain once dealers can place orders.

4 bed tie downs are standard, just not the moveable ones as on the Trail Rail system. Bed rail caps are also standard.

The cleats in the track are not standard but there are 2 foldable (towards the tailgate) and 2 swivel (towards the cab) tie downs that are standard. Bed lights I believe are standard too but I haven’t purchased one yet so not 100% sure ;-). Just trying to help you out and make sure you don’t buy a package you don’t need.

The cleats in the track are not standard but there are 2 foldable (towards the tailgate) and 2 swivel (towards the cab) tie downs that are standard. Bed lights I believe are standard too but I haven’t purchased one yet so not 100% sure ;-). Just trying to help you out and make sure you don’t buy a package you don’t need.

Don't all four fold and swivel? And yeah, bed lights are standard.
